Sen. John Thune answered questions from Rapid City-area residents on Friday during a town hall-style meeting, and proposed changes in the nation's health care system took center stage. Subjects ranged from the treatment of the elderly to the treatment of the poor.
Many at the event said nations with health care systems similar to President Barack Obama's proposal don't work well.
Thune said the U.S. has the best health care system and that the option of no reform is better than the current proposal. The GOP senator says reform should be considered that constrains and drives down costs, provides people more choices and gives people more access to health care. ...
