Republican Sen. John Thune says there seems to be a bit of a disconnect with Democratic President Barack Obama and his administration on how some proposals could affect states like South Dakota.
As an example, Thune says proposed climate change legislation would increase the cost of electrical power in South Dakota but would not necessarily hurt other, larger states.
...
He says South Dakota’s economy is agriculture-based and that policies undermining agriculture can put the state’s economic future in peril.
